Overview:

In the summer of 2022, the German government introduced a 9€ ticket, allowing citizens to travel across the country for a flat rate. While the initiative aimed to make travel more affordable, it quickly led to overcrowded trains and chaotic conditions. We saw an opportunity to make this experience more enjoyable and convenient for travelers by encouraging them to explore lesser-known destinations—both within Germany and beyond.

Objetive:

To offer travelers alternative destinations that were easily accessible for under 9€, helping to alleviate the chaos of overcrowded trains while also promoting the discovery of new, exciting places. We aimed to position our campaign as a helpful and timely solution to the challenges of the 9€ ticket.

The Execution:

We launched an OOH campaign across various high-traffic locations, including train stations, bus stops, and popular city centers. The ads featured a clear call-to-action with a QR code that linked directly to a landing page with a curated list of destinations that could be accessed for under 9€. The list included both local spots within Germany and international locations nearby.
